Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms apply to paid enrolment in AREC learning programmes and use of the AREC Learning Portal. A parent or guardian submitting a registration confirms that the information supplied is accurate and that they have authority to enrol the child.

2. Fees and what they cover

• Registration: £20 once, covering enrolment, account setup and starter materials.
• GCSE: £30 per week, per subject, for at least two weeks.
• Years 7–9: £50 per week for up to three subjects, for at least two weeks.
• Each programme includes two scheduled live sessions weekly, seven-day portal access for each paid week, appropriate homework or practice tasks, progress monitoring, tutor support and AREC digital resources.

3. Access, sessions and homework

Paid access starts and ends on the dates shown in the portal. Learners may join sessions, view available recordings and submit published work only during active access. Session times may change with reasonable notice. Missed sessions do not automatically extend access, but any available recording and assigned work remain accessible during the paid period.

4. Renewals, cancellation and refunds

Programme access does not renew automatically. A parent can renew through the family portal before or after expiry. Please contact AREC promptly if a payment was made in error. Once teaching or portal access for a paid period has begun, fees are normally non-refundable unless AREC cancels the service or applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

5. Learner and parent responsibilities

Parents should provide suitable internet access and a safe place to learn. Learners must attend respectfully, keep login details private, submit their own work and follow teacher instructions. Access may be suspended for unsafe, abusive or seriously disruptive conduct.

6. Safeguarding, recordings and privacy

Online sessions may be recorded for teaching, quality and safeguarding purposes where stated during registration. Recordings, course materials and portal content are for the enrolled household and may not be copied, shared or republished. Personal information is used to administer enrolment, payment, learning access, safeguarding and programme communications.

7. Service availability and liability

AREC will take reasonable care to provide the scheduled programme and maintain portal availability. We are not responsible for interruptions outside our reasonable control, including a learner’s device, internet connection or third-party meeting service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
